Jeep Camp '09 photos

Postby EricCJ7 » Thu Jul 02, 2009 9:29 am

Hey folks, I've got some pictures I took and some that Bob and Mary emailed me. I've wanted to get them up sooner but I've been backpacking this week, and came home a little early due to technical difficulties, so I'm letting my feet rest up (while sitting in front of the nerdbox computer) a little more. Sorry I didn't get more of the whole clan... it's tough to run up and down the line taking pictures!

How do have technical difficulties while backpacking?

That guys from CO. It happened right after I led the crew on the bypass road. Not sure if there was a spotter or not. Guess the lady driving was pretty cool about it, though.

Yeah, they were great people, and oh man did I like their LJ!!! I would definitely trade them two CJs and an XJ for it... haha, not even close to an even trade though! Their home built crusher corners/tube fenders really saved them some from serious body damage too (minus a little trail trophy to the driver's half-door). As for the backpacking dificulties.... to make a long story short, here are a few minor setbacks... poorly marked trails led to nearly 10 miles of travel in the wrong direction, temps in the 90s, foot fungus amoung us due to a little rain storm and a creek crossing, wet feet, crotch rash (not mine), a time crunch, and probably too much gear led us to decide to quit a little early, which was VERY tough for both of us considering how poorly we accept defeat. Other than that it was a super time!! Tons of laughing and great scenery the whole time. This fall, we have a score to settle with mother nature. (feel free to start making bets now).
